‘Change for climate change’ by Janice Huang.
Dunedin’s average winter temperature has risen since records began in 1947. As sea temperatures are also rising, the bubbles represent escaping oxygen. There are many local victims in a warming sea, like the zooplankton shown here, affecting the food chain. Sea stars, like most marine life, also start out as plankton, and these species are especially vulnerable. It is time for us to walk out of our comfort zone and review our sense of the helpless feeling called "my action won't change anything, so why should I care?". It's time to change for climate change.
