‘Alright for us, but not for all’ by Frances Perez.
Otago ocean waters are getting warmer and more acidic, so it is becoming harder for species to reproduce, like coralline algae and some molluscs which have a more difficult time creating their shells. These changes sometimes will feel alright for us (like the surfer not having to use a wetsuit and being able to stay longer in the water) while for the marine species it is not exactly alright and they can be decreasing in numbers, affecting the whole ecosystem.
